Join us as we celebrate the late Stephen Sondheim’s immeasurable impact on the American Musical Theatre. Members of the Civic Theatre Company are proud to present an evening of iconic selections spanning his nearly seven-decade career.
Stephen Sondheim is and was widely acknowledged as one of the most innovative, most influential and most important composers and lyricists in modern Broadway history. He famously began his career as lyricist for West Side Story and went on to pen shows such as Into The Woods, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Company, and more — all of which you’ll hear represented in our 90-minute concert celebration.
The evening will include a special announcement about future programming coming to Theater 514.
This one-night-only event is directed and musically directed by company members Rebecca Pieper, Kate Pistone, Melisa Klausner, and Nina Elias.
