Audtition Workshop Led By Actor & Teaching Artist Michael Covel
Step into the audition room with confidence in this hands-on workshop for actors ages 18 and up, led by professional actor and teaching artist Michael Covel. Participants will focus on monologue and song selection, cold reading, and audition techniques, receiving personalized feedback to help them stand out.
Actors of all levels will leave equipped with practical tools, confidence, and strategies to shine in any audition.
Enrollment in this workshop is Pay What You Will, starting at $5 (suggested donation of $20).
Audition Workshop – Materials to Prepare:
Please prepare a one-two minute long monologue (classic or contemporary) and or 16–32 bars of a song; total materials should not exceed three minutes. Memorization is preferred, but not required. If reading, you should be comfortable enough that you are not glued to the page. If singing, please bring your own accompaniment track, a bluetooth speaker will be provided.
Please note: Observation of this workshop is permitted, not all attendees need perform.
