Our Scholarship Funds Fuel Our Commitment to Creating Access to the Transformative Power of the Performing Arts
Civic Theatre School, which has been in operation for over 60 years, serves as Civic Theatre's main youth outreach initiative and remains a cornerstone resource for young people in the community to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop and appreciation for the arts. The program includes three annual sessions of performing arts training for students in first through twelfth grade.
60 students are awarded our need based scholarships annually from a pool of deserving applicants. Your support of the Betty T. and Bob Muir Scholarship Fund, and our Civic Theatre Scholarship Fund make it possible to extend much-needed financial support to families across our community to unlock the transformative power of the performing arts.

The Betty T. and Bob Muir Scholarship was established in memory of Elizabeth T. Muir, a professional actress and devoted Lehigh Valley theatregoer who appeared on the Civic stage in 1947 in The First Mrs. Frasier, and her husband Bob.
Thanks to the Betty and Bob Muir scholarship fund, the transformative power of the Civic Theatre School can be accessed by more members of our community, even those with the most limited financial resources.
