  • What ages are eligible for the program?

    Civic Theatre School classes are open to any student grades 1-12

  • Do you need any experience?

    Students of all experience levels are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend all Civic Theatre School Programs

  • Do I have to pay the full tuition at once?

    Payment plans are available. Contact the Box Office at 610-432-8943 for more information.

  • Are any discounts available?

    Families with 2 children in the program will receive a $20 discount on tuition; an additional $20 will be discounted for each addition child in the family attending the program.

  • Are scholarships available?

  • Where do I drop off my child?

    An informational email, with everything you need to know for the first day of classes, will be sent approximately one week before the start of classes.

  • Do you have to do both summer sessions? Do you have to attend Session I in order to attend Session II?

    No. Many Students attend one of the two sessions. Both sessions have different focuses for the students.

  • Do students have to bring in anything specific?

    These classes are active! Have students dress in comfortable clothing with either sneakers or dance shoes (think along the lines of a Gym Class outfit!) and bring a water bottle

  • Do the students get to perform?

    On the last day of each summer session, students perform a showcase in the main theatre. This performance is open to all friends and family and is free of charge.

  • What’s the difference between half day and full day?

    Half Day (M-F 9am-12pm)
    Full Day (M-F 9am-3pm)

    In addition to our engaging Drama and Movement program, students in grades 3-8 will have the option to participate in an additional specialty package of classes. If this package is purchased (full day option), students will bring a lunch each day and have a supervised lunch break from 12-12:30 p.m. Students will enjoy and experience a variety of exciting topics taught by talented and qualified instructors. Past specialty classes have included Puppetry, Improv, and Script Writing.

  • Are voice lessons available?

    During the summer session, Voice lessons are available to students entering grades 9-12 in the Fall of 2019.

  • Does Civic only offer summer classes?

    There are two school year sessions available on Saturday mornings. The Fall Session runs September-November with an end-of-session showcase. The Winter Session runs January-March and ends with a Spring musical. Those registrations will open in August 2019.
