Synopsis:
Vixen’s Holiday Speakeasy is Civic Theatre’s boldest holiday celebration, an 18+ night of live music, dance, and high-glamour spectacle that turns the season completely on its head.
Step into a lavish speakeasy-inspired world where vintage allure meets modern edge. Expect electrifying performances, playful irreverence, and a rotating showcase of artists who bring charisma, command, and unapologetic holiday heat to the stage.
This is a night built for indulgence: lush visuals, champagne energy, and performances that are equal parts seductive, hilarious, and joyfully unrestrained. It’s festive—but far from traditional.

Accessibility Notice: Please note that the 19th street theatre second-floor rehearsal hall is accessible by one flight of steep stairs from street level, or by three flights of stairs with landing breaks from inside the Historic 19th Street Theatre. There is currently no elevator or stair lift available.
The Theatre514 performance space is fully on one level and does not require the use of stairs. If you have accessibility needs or would like to discuss accommodations for the audition, please reach out to us before the audition date.

Rehearsals will begin the week of October 26. Actors must present their conflicts through Closing performance on their audition forms.

Oh, you’re on the naughty list? Perfect. We’re looking for performers who know how to make the holidays a little more mischievous, seductive, and unexpected.

Vixen’s is a holiday cabaret with a little more bite than your average Christmas show. Think glitter, glamour, cocktails, comedy, cabaret, and just enough holiday trouble to keep things interesting.
Vixen’s Holiday Speakeasy is for adults and performed by adults.

Paper copies will be available at auditions for anyone who has difficulty accessing the Google Form. If you plan to complete a paper copy, please arrive early enough to allow time to complete the form before your audition, and be prepared to list all known conflicts between the start of rehearsals and closing of the production.
There will be no appointments. Please plan accordingly.
Audition Requirements:
Bring us 1–2 minutes of holiday-themed fabulousness!
We’re a wide array of acts including burlesque, drag, singing, comedy, dance, specialty acts, and cabaret-style performances. Have something that doesn’t fit neatly into one of those categories? Even better. Surprise us!
Your audition selection should be holiday-themed and give us a glimpse of your personality, charisma, and unique performance style. Think festive, flirty, funny, glamorous, naughty, unexpected, or completely over-the-top.
If your act requires music, props, or other materials, please come prepared with what you need to make your audition shine. A blue tooth speaker will be available.
Self-tape/Virtual Auditions:
If you are unable to attend auditions, you may submit a video audition of your 1–2 minute act to associate_artistic_director@civictheatre.com no later than October 19th. We will alert you if we need a call back.
